Youth Leadership Collier is a program specifically designed for rising high school seniors in Collier County. Through a weekend retreat, hands-on business and leadership experiences, and exclusive behind-the-scenes sessions, students will explore local government, healthcare, law enforcement, business, agriculture, media, human services, the environment, the arts, and more. Students will also hear from experienced area leaders who deal with our community’s biggest opportunities and challenges. With the benefit of new perspectives and connections, participants are prepared to take their places as our community’s future leaders.

50 hours of community service.
Time Commitment
Youth Leadership Collier (YLC) runs 7 full days in June, typically the week after school ends. Saturday, Sunday, and Friday will include evenings, while Monday through Thursday sessions typically ends around 5 pm.
Who Should Apply
-Applicants must:
- Be a member of the junior class of a high school in Collier County (includes public, private, alternative, and home-schools).
- Demonstrate leadership in your school and/or the community.
- Have an interest in furthering your knowledge about Collier County and community leadership.
- Commit to 100% PARTICIPATION in the YLC program week.
Application and Selection Process
Applications for Youth Leadership Collier open from mid-December through February of each year. Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted. The selection committee strives to create a diverse class of approximately 33 students representing all of Collier County’s high schools.

Tuition
Tuition is $500. Scholarships are available based on need.
